After expertise by an authority  of a Longwy, France museum it is deemed to be original. It is dated about 1890. called a COMPOTIER for apple marmalade  (this note added 10-26-2008 from information from a resident of Longwy, France) Longwy French enamel COMPOTIER c 1875-1925 blue floral signed and numbered 6 different times crazing consistent with age perfect as far as I can tell 7/8" rim on bottom concave more than 1" inside center bottom could this be the missing half of another piece? bottom diameter 5 1/4" top diameter 8" you can feel the painting of the beautiful multicolored flowers navy rim top edge see pictures of what it says on bottom 1-Made in France 2-3020 3-67 4-20 5-Hallmark with Longwy France at bottom (I can't make out the top portion) 6-a deep embedded round circle with marks or letters or numbers that I can't make out a wonderful piece for any collection. please do not be intimidated by my Buy-it-Now price....Ebay has some strange rules these days and the best I can figure I can list this for 35 cents and 30 days which saves me the most money and the end result will be the same.
