Description I have owned around 18-20 pieces of Fairyland over the years and this one is one of the most striking in colors and condition of all of them.The Coral enamel added over the top of the lustre is not only rare and difficult to produce ,but considered one of the best visual effects of Fairyland.This bowl is in almost mint condition,I say almost because if you go over it with a magnifying glass you may find a minute nick.There are NO REPAIRS, SCRATCHES, CHIPS, or CRACKS. The pattern is a little confusing,printed on the back is Z5407 D,the book states the coral is Z5406.This one has the rare figure walking over the bridge and the crescent moon,they removed the 3 little fairies on the bottom.The interior has a scene inside also.It is 8" x 4".The last one that sold was a round one at Julia's for over $3800.00. Wedgwood ,for me, was one of the best investments I made in the last economic crash in the early 90's.It was thought the price of Fairyland then was at a all time high but I invested in it rather than in Wall Street.I saw a return far exceeding Wall Street and my Real Estate! I do not have a crystal ball ,but if you watch auctions after a big hit in the Market prices of fine art and collectables start to go much higher.The big boys are moving their money.Of course you need to pay the bills first!
