Description
Karanocrn Store W S George White Lido 136A Floral Rim 2! Serving Bowls What a lucky find for the collector as this lovely white pattern is difficult to find and just in time for Thanksgiving! This pattern was produced in the late 20's to early 30's by WS George using decals for the decoration. Lido refers to the scalloped/straight intervals of the rim which has such an elegant effect. The round serving bowl is 9.5 inches across and about 2.25 inches deep. It has a uniform crazing, a few glaze pops and some very mild wear on the silver colored rim but no chips or cracks. The bottom is marked (see photo) The vegetable serving dish is 9 inches long, almost 6.75 inches wide and is 1.5 inches deep. It has no chips, cracks or crazing, nor is it marked on the bottom. There are a few glaze pops on the underside. Thanks for your interest! Payment is expected within 5 days of the auction closing but if this is not possible please communicate the issue with me so we can make suitable arrangements. PayPal is wonderful as I can ship out the treasure immediately. Checks and money orders are fine too but shipping will be delayed until the bank verifies that the payment has cleared. I try to ship items out the very day the cleared payment is recieved via USPS. We live 16 miles out of town so I usually send it with my mail carrier who comes by usually between noon and 1:00pm Pacific Standard time. I do my best to wrap items very carefully and recycle packing material whenever possible. Insurance is always the option of the buyer but if something gets damaged or lost in the mail I cannot be held responsible if the insurance option is waived. I have enjoyed selling items on eBay as a hobby and for my 93 year old grandmother who has a veritable mountain of collectables that she has found and never thrown away. She collected antiques long before it was considered fashionable and since she and Grandpa ran the Devil's Lake, N.D. Coast to Coast Store for many years she had lots of opportunities to aquire the unusual. Most of her items are attached to a fun story (which I like to share in the listings) and she enjoys reliving the memories that talking about these things evokes. It is our desire to have some fun finding retirements for these old treasures in the homes of appreciative collectors while making her a little spending money for the trip she is planning in the spring. Grandma could surely show the Energizer Bunny some tricks in how to keep on going!! My sweetheart and I live way out of town in the beautiful, forested Coos County Oregon. He recently suffered a devastating traumatic head injury while doing a favor for a friend and now neither of us can work outside the home as he needs constant support. Therefore my eBay hobby has become more important for the potential income it may bring. I find stuff around here and at estate and garage sales but am still learning what to look for. Therefore I am an expert on very little but will describe things as best as I can. Eager to learn, I love hearing from folks who can give me more information on any of my listings. That is part of the fun of it all. No I am not getting rich, not even close to making a living but there is a better chance of getting lucky on something here than of winning the lottery! Have a great day and thank you for your interest! Be Blessed! I can be contacted via the eBay message service or my email address which is scuttledcork@aol.com.(long story) Please don't hesitate to ask any questions or request more details. We have found that getting things straightened out prior to bidding is the most reliable way to avoid disappointment.
