This fabulous LARGE OVAL SERVING PLATTER was made by W. S. GEORGE in the 296A PATTERN on the LIDO WHITE shape featuring a four sided straight edge with a scalloped border and gold trim.   The beautiful floral pattern features 4 clusters of delicate cascading pink flowers with light green and gray leaves. The pink flowers look like dogwood blossoms. This piece is from a massive 100+ piece dinnerware set in this pattern that I have on eBay. TRADEMARKS/UNDERSTAMPS:  This piece is NOT signed with the W. S. George backstamp or any maker's marks. The underside of all other pieces in the pattern are green ink stamped with the following: LIDO W. S. GEORGE WHITE MADE IN U.S.A. (number which varies) MEASUREMENTS:  The platter measures 13 1/4" long and 10 3/8" wide. CONDITION:  This vintage platter is in very good, barely used condition. There are no lines, cracks, crazing, wear to the decoration, or repairs. There is a very small surface flick on the BACK side which does not show whatsoever on the top side. There are a few very minor (barely noticeable) utensil marks which can be seen only when the platter is held at an angle (even then it's difficult to see). Wait until you see it in person - it will make a fantastic addition to your collection or to give as a memorable gift to someone who collects this pattern. This item comes from a smoke free environment.
