This beautifully proportioned 6 ¼ inch (15.80cms) vase C 1940 carries three open anemone flowers along with a peeping bud set in foliage against a background of cobalt blue. These flowers vary in shades of ripe watermelon through to a delicate grape. The base is initialed WM by Walter Moorcroft with Made In England and the impressed Moorcroft stamp. On close examination there is the characteristic crazing which is normal for old Moorcroft wares. This vase is in excellent condition without chips, cracks or repairs.
