Vintage McKee Jadite Tom and Jerry Punch Bowl Set Start Price USD 425.00 Current Price USD 425.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Thursday, November 20, 2008 End Time Friday, December 05, 2008 Location Florida See more about 'Vintage McKee Jadite Tom and Jerry Punch Bowl Set' Description For sale is a vintage McKee Jadeite Tom & Jerry Punch Bowl set.  This set consists of a large punch bowl measuring almost 12 inches across and 5 inches high and 8 matching jadeite mugs, which measure about 3.75 inches high.  This is vintage collectible glassware.  The punch bowl and the mugs all bear the McKee stamp--a McK inside of a circle on the bottom of each piece.  Tom & Jerry sets are hard to find items.  My understanding is that Tom & Jerry does not refer to the popular cartoon, but rather was the name of a kind of drink back in the 1930s or 40s that would be served from a punch set.    The punch bowl is in fantastic condition.  There are no chips, cracks, or nicks.  I can detect a few use marks on the inside bottom, but they are very light and don't affect the shine of the bowl.  Overall, the punch bowl has a great shine all over.  The lettering is dark and clear.  The 8 mugs are in very good condition.  Three of the mugs seem just about perfect; 2 have a small shallow rim chip, which is smooth and not jagged.  The other 3 mugs are also in very good condition, but do have some several small nicks or seam roughness (or perhaps they are just factory imperfections).  I am trying to be as specific as I can because I always disclose anything I can find so buyers know the condition of the glass.  Overall, these flaws do not detract from the beauty and rarity of this set.  The lettering on the mugs is dark and clear, and the mugs have a nice shine too.
