The base that fits onto the mixer is about 3 3/4" diameter. I don’t know how old it is or what Kitchenaid mixer that it originally came with but it does  lock into my new mixer. The bottom is marked: HEAT RESISTANT—MADE IN USA for KITCHENAID. The bowl shows normal wear from age and use—there is some normal scuffing on the inside. Please e-mail me with any questions!
