This is a rare and highly sought after lamp with a beautiful pottery figurine of Little Red Riding Hood. She is decorated with flowers on the front of her apron and is holding a basket under her left arm. Her red cape is trimmed in gold. The lamp dates back to the late1940s or early 1950s and includes a decorated lamp shade. The lamp measures 16” tall to the top of the shade. The pottery figurine is 8” tall by 5 ½” across at the base. The rare Hull pottery lamp is in very good condition with a beautiful finish and no cracks, chips or crazing. The pottery base has some blemishes near the bottom, but they look like original paint spray flaws and are clearly underneath the glaze. The electric light works but the covering of the old electrical cord is frayed and the cord should probably be replaced. The bottom of the lamp is covered with felt so I can’t tell what kind of pottery markings may be there, but this item is definitely an original Hull pottery product.
