Description
This is an unused punch bowl set with no box. It has a large platter to hold the bowl which sits on a pedestal that measures 22" across -- the bowl is approximately 13" round and 8" deep. There are 12 adorable 4 oz. cups. I put the stamp picture there because I can't get a picture telling how beautiful it is when you walk up to it. The base makes it sit above that roll of stamps off the table making a beautiful sight with the cups surrounding it. The ladle fills a cup and is clear glass, no design. My husband's first wife bought this in the 60s while he was on a business trip. She paid $150 for it then which he wasn't thrilled about when he got home so it never came out of the closet or was talked about. Now it's time to move to a small retirement home thought I find it lovely, just no room. It really needs to be somewhere it can be put on display. home !!! I don't have any idea what kind of glass it is. There is a glass ladle and I do not believe it to have any chips of any kind. It weighs all together about 25-30 lbs. packed to ship so shipping is high and I want insurance on it which I will pay for in my packing and shipping charges. Please feel free to write with questions or if you know enough about glass to identify it. We will ship this both the safest and most economical way and you can see from our feedback we are as fair as possible. Make this bowl feel wanted !!! I have received this information: NEW INFORMATION: I am going to leave this on ebay till Thanksgiving and then sell to a reseller who offered me $250.00 for it. I don't like the middleman making money but if that's the way it sells -- so goes it. If you're thinking about it, now is the time to buy. This punch bowl is in the Daisy and Buttons pattern by Indiana Glass Company. Although it is hard to find them with the underplate, your starting price is way too high. You will be lucky if you get any bids on it. If you lower your price you may have better luck. Sincerely, JAbut I'm leaving it where it is because it's truly amazing looking and I'll find a way to display it if no one wants it but thank you for the information and I've put it in the listingI have received more information: If you mean why the original owner paid so much for it, that was probably the price when it was new. This particular pattern is very beautiful but it is on ebay almost every day and usually starts out below $49.00. With the underplate it should get bids worth much more. I know this information means I should drop the price but it is so beautiful, I will use it for a wedding gift for a "great" niece or nephew who would save and appreciate it. If you saw it, (it really is worth what we are asking in my opinion) and would be worth owning if I were younger and had more room. I just like to offer potential buyers all info I receive. -- Michele Hi. I have seen the platter sell for $100.00 all by itself. Stick to your price...it's worth every penny!
