ABOUT THE ARTIST James August Warsing Jr. began sculpting with glass and stone in the early 70's. The sandblasting and etching technique that is used to create his pieces date back well over 500 years with it's beginnings in Western Europe. His work has been displayed in numerous galleries across the US as well as in Canada and Australia. Mr. Warsing created a brilliant glass piece of Pope John Paul II and presented it to the Pope himself. The piece is now proudly displayed at the Vatican in Rome. Another piece depicting the crew of the Space Shuttle Columbia that tragically disintegrated on re-entry in Feb. 2003 has been displayed at the NASA facility in Florida. ABOUT THE JAWS FOUNDATION The JAWS foundation was founded in 2007 with it's objective being to help artisits from all walks of life hone their crafts and display their work. The foundation funds the expense of training and travel, supporting those that would otherwise be unable to realize their dreams of being an "artist". The foundation is now fundraising to provide the means for a lengthy stay in Australia to produce a documetary on the most skilled and proloific artists that painstakingly create their work in the "land down under".
