Flower Center' Description Item American Brilliant Period Cut Glass Flower Center    Item Description We are very delighted to present this lovely flower center.  We present an excellent example of American Brilliant Period cut glass. This flower center is cut in a realistic design, popular toward the later end of the Brilliant Period. It was likely made between 1915-1917. It is an extremely fine example of the best work done during this era. The blank is clear and well-polished to a fine brilliance. The flower center is beautifully designed. It is especially large measuring 9 inches in height with a diameter of 12 inches! It weighs over 7 LBS. The engraving work is beautifully done and features floral and butterfly and also features alternating "Harvard" and floral and butterfly design. The stepped neck is wonderfully cut and the rim adds a beautiful appearance to the overall design. This is perhaps the finest example that we have seen of late period ABP cut glass. It is a merger of the finest in crafting indicative of the earlier period matched with a flair for design that emerged with the geometric and floral designs of the later period. This wonderful piece makes a terrific display and a fantastic addition to any cut glass collection. This is a fine opportunity to add an exquisite piece to your collection.
