Best stated, Nippon is actually an era and was made by many different companies. This is an incredible example of one of those antique vases. Typically, a Nippon piece of porcelain will have the word "Nippon" included in its mark or backstamp. This piece has a genuine Nippon backstamp as shown below. Here is a view of the inside fro the top. the inside can be cleaned. Here are the close ups of the most fabulous and realistic pine cones....detail is phenomenal. The top edges are covered with moriage and beading. The feet are also highly decorated and in excellent condition. There is a hairline on the vase...looks to have been repaired. Measurements are as follows:Height = 8 1/4"Diameter at the top = 6" This is an absolutely fabulous vase with the unusual fall scene of pine cones and needles!
