C.' Description   Albion Antiek 2 Antique Italian Plates Savona Faience Jacques Callot   This listing is for a beautiful pair of antique Italian pottery plates. These date to the 19th. century and were probably made in Savona. The scenes are in the style of Jacques Callot in polychrome on a blue ground. Made of tin glazed faience (maiolica/majolica) these plates measure approx. 9-1/4" across (23,5 cm). Condition is excellent. There are a few of the typical smaller chips and glaze flakes along the edges but no other damage and there have been no repairs or restoration. One plate has a small firing crack which happened during manufacture (see close-up picture). Please excuse any glares (white patches) that you may see in the pictures, these are caused by reflections of light on the glaze and are not on the actual object itself. Please note that I am located in the Netherlands (Holland) which means that this item will be shipped from Europe. I ship worldwide and make sure all purchases are shipped within 24 hours of payment, with the exception of weekends (payments received on Fridays or weekends will ship on the following Monday).
