Description
IMPORTANT NOTE, PLEASE READ: The shipping cost quoted on this listing is an ESTIMATE ONLY. PLEASE DON'T PAY until you receive my eBay invoice! I don't pack my sets until they're sold so I can't give you the exact postage cost until I see how many boxes it takes to ship the set safely, the weight of each box and where you live. I don't charge anything for packing, handling or materials! You will pay EXACTLY what the Post Office charges me. Welcome! I'm Listing a Beautiful 85-Piece Set of Noritake #76835 - "Romance" Pattern Fine China. The set is circa 1921+-.Condition: Lightly used to unused. The oval platter has a small edge chip (I'm including this piece free because I believe that it's usable - you can decide, just discard it if you don't want it). None of the other pieces have any chips, cracks or any other damage.Description: The base china is white and has gold trim. The border area - from the fancy edge band to the gold verge line is an almond color. See my photo close-ups showing all elements of the pattern. Here is a description of the pattern and colors used. The outside edge is trimmed with bright gold. Then comes a wonderful vibrant blue area that is enclosed between a tan band at the top and a scalloped tan band on the bottom. This blue area features diagonal twin tan lines that end with a white dot. This same blue area is interrupted (at regular intervals) by a unique tan scroll with a background of black. Next comes a wide almond colored border area that ends at the tan verge line. An exquisite floral pattern (which is centered on the almond border area) consists of two elements - a large grouping of blue, light and dark pink, and yellow flowers with gold scrolls below alternates at regular intervals with smaller floral groups (featuring the same colored and type of flowers) All of the leaves are a pastel green. The center areas are plain white. Here is a list of the many pieces included:Nine Cups (2" tall x 3 3/4" across the top)Eleven 5 1/2" SaucersTwelve 9 7/8" Dinner Plates (dinner plates were smaller back then)Eleven 6 3/8" B & B PlatesNine 5 1/4" Fruit/Dessert BowlsTwelve 3 5/8" Bouillon Soup Bowls (doubled handled and 3 5/8" across the top) RARE Twelve 5 1/2" Saucers for the above bouillon soup bowls (RARE)One Creamer (3 1/8" tall, 8 Oz.One Covered Sugar Bowl (footed)One 10 1/2" Oval Vegetable Bowl (handled)One 11 3/4" Oval Serving Platter (included free, has an edge chip)One 8 3/4" Round Covered Vegetable Bowl/Casserole RareOne Gravy Boat W/Attached Under-plate (9" long x 5 7/8" wide x 2 3/4" deep)One 8 1/4" Oval Relish DishOne Covered Butter Dish (7 3/8" diameter x 4" tall) Very RareOne 9 7/8" Round Vegetable Bowl (handled)Comments: This is a very popular pattern and it should be very easy to add the missing pieces to complete it. This is a beautiful vintage set of fine china with some very difficult to find serving pieces. If you're searching for that special set for entertaining - this set is elegant without being gaudy! This set would rate in the top ten vintage sets of the hundreds that I've had!IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ: Order with confidence, I offer a 7-day money back guarantee (I don't refund postage & insurance).
