The porcelain bears the typical Sevres red marking "MImple de Sevres" (Manufacture Imperiale de Sevres) which was fashionable in 1804-1810 during the Imperial period of Napoleon. According to an expert this set is most likely a later production, probably from the beginning of the 1900s. Each plate has a unique hand painted floral pattern in the middle and soft paste, hand carved ribbon around the outer edge. The set is in excellent condition, except as noted below.
